Hi, i'm Dannielle, the gardener behind Four Leaf Clover Gardening.

With a background in art and design, a passion for nature and wildlife and an entrepreneural spirit- my small gardening buissness was born, operating and steadily growing (pardon the pun!) since 2021. After feeling frustrated with how the landscaping indrustry I was employed by did things, I decided to launch myself as a freelance gardener, and I haven't looked back! I think I have the best job in the world!

I adore all insects and spiders, so I will always push you to choose the organic option and not harm my little friends! To me, "weeds" are wildflowers and I will encourage you to welcome that dandelion or daisy into your garden, but if you must have a "weed" free garden then hand-weeding will be the method used (unless we are dealing with an invasive then we can consider chemical killers as a last resort option!)

Leaf-blowers are my enemy- after shift, after shift being instructed to blow the literal life out of gardens by a top landscaping company, I vowed to never let this be the standard in my company... They are good for quickly sweeping a patio only! I wont blow mulch away or erode your soil, or make loads of noise with loud leaf blowers or other power tools. I prefer a traditional approach when tending to gardens, using hand tools the majority of the time.

I'm a bit phobic of mass produced and prepacked food so I grow some of my own vegetables, herbs and fruits and enjoy cooking from scratch everyday, and I will be very happy to help you to create a herb or veggie patch in your garden as well as share my knowledge to help you tend and harvest it yourself.

In my spare time I volunteer and hang out in a community garden space, and in the past I have led community garden projects including The Lost Plots, I truly believe in the therapeutic benefits of gardening and community spaces, and I share this with others when I can

I also make plush toys and soft textile furnishings which will be available on my online store from time to time, along with gardening supplies and plants that I cultivate myself.

I only like to be inside if it's cosy and comfy- otherwise you'll find me outside with twigs in my hair, dirt on my knees and probably saying hello to a bug or two!.... I've always wondered why they call it "green fingers" because mine are always black with dirt!

If you book with Four Leaf Clover Gardening, you will meet me and possibly one of my trusted assistants if an extra hand is needed.
